Keeneland sale provides 'ready-made' racehorses
Keeneland Sales holds its April Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale, one of the race operation's four annual sales, on April 5.
Keeneland Sales has catalogued 181 horses for its one-day sale, fewer than last year. The session begins at 4 p.m. at Keeneland Race Course; however, prospective buyers can observe the juveniles perform under tack during the Preview Show on April 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Keeneland Sales, the world's largest thoroughbred auction company and a sister company of Keeneland Race Course, added the sale in 1993 to meet the demand for horses in training.
"The April sale provides buyers a chance to purchase a 'ready-made' racehorse, one that will produce an immediate return on their investment," said Geoffrey Russell, director of sales at Keeneland. "That's a great advantage in today's economy."

Aviation Museum of Kentucky lets history take wing
The 1908 Sellers Quadraplane may seem to have little in common with AH-1 Cobra attack helicopter or an F-14 Tomcat fighter interceptor. But the three aircraft are part of a special family of planes, old and modern, that share the spotlight at the Aviation Museum of Kentucky next to Blue Grass Airport in Lexington.

Asian Wind carries in scent of great meals
The trend in Chinese restaurants in recent years has been for all-you-can-eat buffets where quantity takes the place of quality, and diners feel obligated to stuff themselves relentlessly in order to get their money's worth.
In that atmosphere, Asian Wind Restaurant, 3735 Palomar Centre Dr. in Lexington, is a breath of fresh air.
